The apps will deliver all NAIAS related info directly to the palm of attendees’ hands. The launch has also made NAIAS the first auto show in the world to launch an interactive app.
The NAIAS suite of apps is developed in conjunction with NAIAS technology partner IBM. The app will utilize beacons beacons installed across the NAIAS show floor. It will ping the attendees as they navigate around the 2016 NAIAS.
According to the NAIAS chairman, they have some of the best partners in the world. This also allows NAIAS to deliver industry-first interactive technologies to the attendees.
Launching a diverse suite of NAIAS apps will allow individuals to access important show information. It will also deliver breaking news coming out of the show to the handheld devices directly. Attendees will not be connected to the show floor in a never before experienced way.
The NAIAS app features News updates from ClickOnDetroit and the NAIAS. The app will also include Twitter updates from NAIAS on new products and show events.
Attendees will also view various photos and videos from the NAIAS show floor. Even ticket info, Detroit weather forecasts and guides to restaurants will be available on the app.
“As the developers of official app of the 2016 NAIAS, we are more committed than ever to providing revved-up digital content including spectacular video and unique stories that will engage and inform audiences and show goers,” said WDIV Vice-President and General Manager Marla Drutz.
“Whether it’s the newest reveal or where to go to dinner after the show, this app helps make the NAIAS an even more robust Detroit experience.”
