The CES 2016 kicked off the year with many new gadget announcements. The consumer electronics industry uses the big show to reveal what new gadgets the year will bring.

LG unveiled for instance the LG 98UH9800 8K UHD Smart TV to be released in 2016. Other hot gadgets unveiled at CES for 2016 include the Casio WSD-F10 Android Wear Smartwatch with 1 month battery life, Fitbit Blaze smartwatch, Recon Empire EVS paintball mask with augmented reality display, Movi camera and Yuneec Typhoon H Drone.
Other hot new gadgets that come in 2016 include the Samsung Galaxy S7, iPhone 7, Apple Watch 2 and of course the Oculus Rift and the Microsoft Hololens. DloDlo V1 VR Glasses
The Chinese company has unveiled the sunglass VR headset at an event on August 8. The $599 DloDlo V1 VR Glasses are set to launch this Fall in the United States.

Lucid VR Lucidcam
The Lucidcam is a pocket-sized VR camera captures 3D 180-degree videos to be watched instantly on mobile phones using Google Cardboard or any VR headsets. Created by a team of Berkeley and Stanford graduates, LucidCam eliminates what has until now taken hours and thousands of dollars in big-size equipment and software to do. The $399 VR camera goes on sale in December.
Jimu Robot Kit
New robotics kit for kids comes out of China. The entry level kit includes 372 parts and 7 servo motors that allows kids to build 5 different robots, but are free to build their own. See details and availability.
LG 98UH9800 8K UHD Smart TV
The 98-inch LG 98UH9800 8K UHD Smart TV with webOS 3.0 has not yet been released. LG will release details here.
Casio WSD-F10 Android Wear Rugged Smartwatch
The Casio WSD-F10 has not yet been released. The Casio WSD-F10 will go on sale on March 25 for $500 on Amazon, Rei, Google Play and Casio's online shop.
Movi Streaming Camera
The Movi live streaming camera is available for pre-order starting at $299.99 on the getmovi site. The Movi ships in May.
Fitbit Blaze Fitness Smartwatch
The Fitbit Blaze Fitness Smartwatch is on sale for $199.95 on Amazon.com. The new Fitbit smartwatch will ship March 15.
Yuneec Typhoon H Drone
The Yuneec Typhoon H Drone with six rotors has a price-tag of $1,800. The new drone with included transport backpack and fly home function has not yet been released. Updates will be provided here.

Apple Watch Series
The new water proof Apple Watch Series 2 with S2 CPU and GPS releases September 16. The Apple Watch Series 1 is the original version with the faster S2 CPU sold at a low price point. Read the latest Apple News.
Apple iPhone 7
The Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus ships on September 16. The Jet Black models have sold out during pre-order as well as all iPhone 7 Plus. The new dual camera is likely to blame. Read the latest Apple News.
Samsung Galaxy S7
The Samsung Galaxy S7 has been introduced at the MWC 2016 in February. Read the latest Galaxy S7 news. The New Galaxy S7 will be available for pre-order starting Feb. 21 and will ship on March 11. Samsung offers a free Gear VR headset with Galaxy S7 pre-orders.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was unveiled on August 2 and shipped August 19. Turned out it has a battery problem and Samsung is recalling all shipped Galaxy Note 7 devices.
The Oculus Rift Virtual Reality headset is priced at $599 and is starting to ship on March 28. Pre-order is available here. The current shipping time frame for new pre-orders is July.
The Microsoft augmented reality goggles have consumer release date yet. Developers can get the HoloLens in the first quarter of 2016. Microsoft is now offering pre-orders for the HoloLens Developer edition priced at $3,000. Units will ship starting March 30. Sony PlayStation VR
The Sony virtual reality headset is the most affordable virtual reality solution so far in combination with a Sony PS4 console. The $399.99 PlayStation VR is available for pre-order as bundle now and the VR goggles without accessories will go up for pre-order on March 29. The Sony PlayStation VR ships October 31.
The $799.99 HTC Vive gives the Oculus Rift a run for the money. HTC managed to already have VR controllers shipping with the VR headset. The HTC Vive can be pre-ordered on the HTC Vive site. Current pre-orders will see shipment in May. First customers will receive the HTC Vive early April.
OLO Smartphone 3D Printer
The Mattel ThingMaker 3D printer just got serious competition from the first ever smartphone 3D Printer. The OLO sells for only $99 and will be available in September. The OLO 3D printer is sold through a Kickstarter campaign right now, which is already funded ten times over.
Sony PS4 Pro
Sony unveiled the Sony PS4 Pro with 4K game play and HDR support. The $399 PS4 Pro will ship November 10. It is available for pre-order on Amazon.com.
