Celine Dion saw more family tragedy as her brother passed away just two days after her husband after a long battle with cancer.
Celine Dion would forever be remembered for her beautiful voice and her amazing award winning songs. She has been the symbol of grace and poise and excellence in singing. So it truly pains the heart to see such an amazing singer going through so much pain.

Celine Dion’s rep confirmed that her brother Daniel Dion passed away on Saturday. According to the rep’s statement, Daniel was battling cancer that had spread throughout his throat, tongue and brain.
"His last days were in the wonderful care of the doctors and personnel at Maison Adhémar-Dion, a palliative care center in Terrebonne Québec," the statement read (via E! News). "For those wishing to send flowers, a donation to that organization would be very much appreciated."
The doctors did not have hope and gave him little time to live. He had been battling the disease for quite some time now. His sister Claudette, said in her statement in Le Journal de Montréal that Daniel was surrounded by his family and friends as he took his last breath.
The newspaper reported that Daniel’s time of death was at 5 a.m. on Saturday. According to Claudette, Daniel was ready to meet his death and he was at peace when he died.
Before his death, Daniel was in the care of the doctors and personnel at Maison Adhémar-Dion, a palliative care center in Terrebonne Québec.
Daniel was one of Celine’s 13 older siblings and the eighth child of his parents Thérèse Dion, 88, and Adhémar Dion. Adhémar died in 2003 at age 80. Daniel is survived by his daughters, Valérie and Marie-Michelle.
His grandchildren Matis and Laurianne along with his nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, who are remembering a gentle and reserved man of many talents. Daniel will be honored in a religious funeral later this month at St-Simon-et-Jude. In Charlemagne Québec, where his family was raised.
Celine Dion has not yet made any statement about her brother’s death. Her silence is understandable as Daniel’s death comes so close to her own husband’s death.
Angélil was Celine’s husband of twenty years as they were married in 1994. He died due to his own battle with throat cancer at the age of 73.
Celine has released a statement regarding her husband’s funeral saying it will be held next Friday at Montreal's Notre Dame Basilica where they were married.
