Avocado from Mexico Super Bowl 50 Ad Starring Sesame Street?

The Avocado from Mexico brand is again running a Super Bowl commercial this year. Earlier this week they partnered with Sesame Street to educate families on the value of avocados.

Will Elmo appear in a Super Bowl 50 commercial? Maybe. The Sesame Street is on the move. The new season of Sesame Street premiered for the first time on Pay TV channel HBO. The premium network has a 9month exclusivity on new Sesame Street episode before the air for free on PBS.

The Avocado from Mexico brand has announced a partnership with Sesame Street this week. The Avocado brand has already confirmed last year to advertise again at the Super Bowl like last year. There are no details yet about the content of the Avocado From Mexico Super Bowl 50 Ad.

It is though possible that the partnership with Sesame Street goes further than promoting the health benefits of fresh avocados with a online video series.

Avocados From Mexico enlisted Chef Pati Jinich of PBS' Pati's Mexican Table show to meet Sesame Street's Elmo, Cookie Monster and Rosita in the kitchen to share health benefits and fun facts about the avocado.

"Avocados From Mexico is proud to be working with Sesame Street to educate families about the benefits of nutrient enriched fruits and vegetables and their important role in a well-balanced diet," said Alvaro Luque, president of Avocados From Mexico. "Since Mexican avocados are always in season, fresh avocados can easily be included into Americans' diets and play a meaningful role in improving nutritional intake."

While it would be a first for Sesame Street to be featured in a Super Bowl ad, their peers from the Muppet Show have already done it. The Muppets starred along side Terry Crews in the 2014 Toyota Super Bowl ad.
