Major car brands say no to a Super Bowl 50 Ad, but don't worry there will be plenty of Super Bowl 50 car ads.
The Super Bowl 50 is around the corner. This Sunday the teams will be determined in the AFC and NFC Division Championship games. The division champions will face off in the Big Game on Feb. 7.

As we get closer to the Big Game, marketers reveal their Super Bowl ad plans. Over 20 brands have already confirmed Super Bowl 50 ads including 8 Super Bowl 50 Car ads. Industry insider expect that Fiat Chrysler will join the Super Bowl ad line-up again, making it 9 car brands that will be advertising during the Super Bowl.
So far Acura, Audi, Honda, Hyundai, Mini, Kia, Buick and Toyota have confirmed Super Bowl 50 commercials.
Some car brands have come forward saying that they will skip the anniversary Super Bowl. On Wednesday, Nissan backed out after returning to the Super Bowl last year after a 18 year break.
Nissan Spokeswoman Jeannie Whited told AutoNews: "The Super Bowl was a significant and effective moment for us, but it’s not the ongoing experience that we want to create,” Whited said of the decision. “Our new involvement with college sports is far-reaching rather than being a one-time event. And it also allows us to bring in our local retailers to participate."
Mercedes-Benz had a popular Super Bowl ad last year featuring the AMG GT. This year the German premium car maker is skipping Super Bowl again. A spokeswoman told Automotive News: "Obviously the reach of the Super Bowl is huge -- as is the expense."
Super Bowl 50 will take place on February 7, 2016, in Santa Clara, at the Levi's Stadium. The stadium is the home of the home of the San Francisco 49ers. Super Bowl 50 will be topping all previous Super Bowl's because of the anniversary. Marketers are flocking to Super Bowl 50 and it will be a huge TV event.
