iPhone 5se Makes me Yawn

Apple is now rumored to launch a 4-inch iPhone named iPhone 5se.

I don't believe that the number of consumers wanting a 4-inch iPhone. There is lots of talk online about people wanting a powerful 4-inch iPhone, but is this really representing a market?

Apple seems though to go ahead and release a new iPhone with a retro 4-inch screen this Spring according to a new rumor by the credible Mark Gurman at 9to5Mac.

According to Gurman's sources the iPhone 5se, not iPhone 6c, will is internally codenamed "N69." The se suffix is mysterious and there are different interpretations what se means. "Special Edition" and "enhances iPhone 5S" are possible interpretations. 5se is just plain stupid if you ask me. Call it iPhone mini if you have to.

The iPhone 5se is supposed to adopt the look of the iPhone 6s. Features include 8MP camera, 1.2MP FaceTime camera, Apple Pay, A8 CPU, M8 chip, Live Photos, VoLTE and Barometer.

Basically the iPhone 5se has the power of the iPhone 6. There will also be no 3D Touch support. The iPhone 5se will be available in gold, silver, space grey and rose gold like the iPhone 6s.

Apple is supposed to release the iPhone 5se in late March or early April. The iPhone 5se is supposed to be now in production at Apple's Asian partners.

It is the most boring iPhone ever that will be hitting the market. The trend is clearly towards bigger screens. As I have previously said, I will be upgrading to the iPhone 7 Plus from the 4.7-inch iPhone 6S I currently own. Bigger screens are just more usuable for the web and apps.
