The Canadian PM Justin Trudeau told actor Leo DiCaprio to keep his climate change talk in a low key. It seems the actor of Titanic fame is a hypocrite when it comes to his actual activities in the real world.
The Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau told Leonardo DiCaprio in clear words that he ought to curb his enthusiasm for climate change.
The leader of Canada said that his “holier than thou” spiel was not aiding those poor and unfortunate people who had lost their jobs in the oil industry.
Leo had said that “enough is enough” and claimed that corporate consumerism was causing climate change. But Justin Trudeau begged to differ.
After the World Economic Forum adjourned, a dinner was held where Trudeau met Leo. A liberal, Trudeau spoke some rather straightforward and honest words to Leo’s face.
He said that both Canada and Alberta had new governments since the past year or so. And they were committed to solvng the climate change riddle.
But the concerned PM also spoke of how there are families out there whose male breadwinners have wound up unemployed. The PM reminded Leo that such inflammatory rhetoric will not help in such matters.
Leo is said to have assured Trudeau that were climate change put on top of the agenda, he would personally come up to Canada and celebrate alongside the PM.
But, Leo is basically a hypocrite. He is engaging in all sorts of activities of the rich and famous and yet he speaks the spiel of concern over climate change.
Most Americans hardly give climate change much thought. Their alter egos are the Chinese who also prefer to turn a blind eye to the looming crisis of global warming.
Some of those people who make the loudest noise in matters having to do with climate change, hardly lift a finger to prevent it themselves. In fact, they may be contributing to it in their own way.
This includes alarmists like Al Gore who predicted that the ice caps would melt at the North Pole by 2014. That has hardly happened. Leo boarded six flights in six weeks, according to NYPost.

That is enough to disrupt the environment he likes to talk about so much. All those carbon emissions are not going to help. Maybe Leo ought to put his money where his mouth is. That would be a better example of change and acting on one’s words rather than acting on screen only.
