  • Skygazers get to view Five Planets at One and the Same Time

Now finally skygazers can get a chance to view five planets in the canopy of night at one and the same time.

The skyline will be giving stargazers and other amateur astronomers a wonderful opportunity to see five planets at the same time within the next few weeks.

This is a chance that is not to be missed no matter what. It must be availed by begging, borrowing or stealing a telescope to view the night sky.

Amateurs that are into the game of stargazing ought to slip out of their offices instead of engaging in some overtime. Or they can wake up early especially if they are insomniacs and head to the rooftops to look at the heavens.

Starting at the present time all the way to February 20th, the sky will present a panorama. Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Mars and Jupiter will be clearly visible approximately 45 minutes before daybreak, according to CNN.

That will be a visual treat that no one will want to forgo. This time the five planets have appeared in the sky just before dawn and they will prove to be a delightful vision for lovers of the infinite depths of outer space.

These planets have been labeled as “naked eye planets” due to the fact that they can be seen without the assistance of a pair of binoculars or telescope. But if you have one then there is no harm in seeing a close-up view of these Big Five.

But you have been warned. They are so far away that it is not an easy job to discern them with the naked eye. It takes practice and a lot of searching of the skyline. A few tips will come in handy in finding these fellow planets of mother earth.

The time at which the sun rises daily is of key importance if you want to see the five worlds. An astronomical application can be downloaded all the better to gaze even deeper into the night sky.

The charts that map the sky will be of great use too. Finally, the local planetarium will be a very valuable resource. It will take from 15 to 20 minutes to pick out these five planets.

The rest is just a matter of enjoying the view. Mankind has been filled with a sense of awe upon looking at the starry heavens. And today it is not any different than it was in our prehistory.

The universe with its bodies lend us a sense of perspective that is sobering and shows us the mirror as far as our importance in the scheme of things is concerned.
