However, a new figure has been shared by the Cupertino giant, for the very first time.
In the report, Apple announced that the company has achieved the landmark of 1 billion active devices.
The active devices include all iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple TV.
The figure has been calculated by counting all the hardware that was using company’s services for the last 90 days.
Apple CEO, Tim Cook in the quarterly earning conference stated that the recent quarter has been Apple’s biggest quarter ever.
He further stated, “The growth of our Services business accelerated during the quarter to produce record results, and our installed base recently crossed a major milestone of one billion active devices.”
The 1 billion devices in question are already using the Apple App Store and other online services.
Thus, the revenue from App Store itself is huge. The revenue of the purchased apps is excluded otherwise huge too.
Apple announced second big news today too. The other significant announcement was that about 74.8 million iPhones were sold in the holiday quarter.
Recently, different reports were surfacing regarding the quality of Apple products.
