The Science Guy Bill Nye has advised NASCAR to take the plunge and enter the world of electric vehicles.
Bill Nye has come up with another one of his brilliant ideas. This science freak never fails to amaze everyone by his wild schemes that carry the fragrance of the mad scientist.

He now wants to make NASCAR a fully electric vehicle game. This may sound far-fetched but it is in fact a possibility some time in the future. Termed the FIA Formula E, it is an exciting and thrilling hypothesis that may turn into a reality one fine day.
Bill Nye is commonly called the Science Guy. He is known for promoting interest and joy in science and the scientific method. Bill sure knows how to handle the difficult scientific concepts and he can explain them to a lay audience in ordinary words that are easy to comprehend.
The man graduated with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. He recently posted an entry on Aeon blog titled “If NASCAR Embraced Electric Cars, It Could Change the World.”
NASCAR sure could cut down on pollution if it employs electric cars instead of the gas guzzlers it normally uses.
While this looks good in theory while practically it is not very feasible. “Going Green” requires many sacrifices and stringent conditions which not every agency is likely to follow at the drop of a hat.
NASCAR is already using many of the environmentally-friendly procedures in its repertoire of activities. Would it be willing to go whole hog on Bill Nye’s insistence?
Well, three years ago, NASCAR switched to electronic fuel injections and discarded its carburetors. Even the fuel was switched to an alternative source.
The Green Movement may have influenced NASCAR to change its methods by using 1700 solar panels to power its curcuit. Nye explained that he wanted NASCAR to excel and surpass itself in the use of such latest technologies that will leave behind a less massive carbon footprint.
Innovation was the name of the game. He even said that the name of the car racing institution par excellence ought to be changed to NESCAR which would stand for National Electric Stock Car Racing.
Instead of fuel injections, battery packs ought to become the order of the day. With each battery pack being exhausted, it would simply be discarded and a new one would be put into the vehicle in its place.

According to Bill Nye, this could extend to trains and even planes. The boundaries were all man-made and in the mind. In reality there were no limits whatsoever.
