The big question is who will be the celebrity in the TurboTax Super Bowl 50 Ad. TurboTax has launched a new campaign earlier this year with commercials released under the new "It doesn’t take a genius to do your taxes" slogan.
The released commercials star brainy science celebrities including S. James Gates, George Smoot, Michio Kaku and Franklin Chang Diaz.
“We’re excited to bring TurboTax back to the Big Game, reaching millions of consumers at a time when their taxes and their tax refund are top of mind,” said Greg Johnson, senior vice president of marketing for Intuit’s Consumer Tax Group.
In a statement TurboTax said: "Over the years we’ve seen increased competition among brands around celebrity endorsements, teasers and teasers for teasers. The TurboTax Super Bowl campaign is a fun and satirical take on that trend, launching this week with a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of brands jockeying for the biggest possible names."
