Coldplay Tour Expands ahead of Band's Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show

The Coldplay US Stadium Tour just got expanded due to high demand.

On Sunday, Feb. 7, Coldplay will perform the Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show in front of about 120 million viewers. The 12 minute performance will be the highlight of the British band's history. Today the band announced to add new venues to its US Stadium tour "A Head Full Of Dreams" due to high demand for tickets. This is is even before the Halftime Show took place.

It could also just be that tickets scalpers are hedging their bets on Coldplay tickets to go up in value after the Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show.  

Coldplay's Head Full Of Dreams tour is starting on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at New York City's MetLife Stadium. The band announced second shows in New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles.

The new dates now include Sunday, July 17 (New York City, NY), Sunday, July 24 (Chicago, Ill.) and  Sunday, August 21 (Los Angeles, Cali.). A full list of A Head Full Of Dreams Tour dates is below.

The Coldplay Tour tickets for the new dates go on sale this Friday, February 5 at Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets for the newly announced shows beginning immediately through Citi's Private Pass program.

A Head Full Of Dreams is Coldplay's seventh album and the follow-up to 2014's GRAMMY-nominated Ghost Stories. Since its December 2015 release, A Head Full Of Dreams has reached #1 on iTunes in more than 90 countries and sold over three million copies. Coldplay is Spotify's most-streamed band in the world at the moment. The Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show will push them even higher above the competition.

Coldplay will headline the Pepsi Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show in Santa Clara, California on Sunday, February 7. Chris Martin appeared last night in a hilarious carpool karaoke trip in James Corden's car.

Super Bowl 50 will take place on February 7, 2016, in Santa Clara, at the Levi's Stadium. The stadium is the home of the home of the San Francisco 49ers. Super Bowl 50 will be topping all previous Super Bowl's because of the anniversary. Marketers are flocking to Super Bowl 50 and it will be a huge TV event.
