The deadline for submissions has closed on Feb. 1. Now the Nobel committee is reviewing the submissions and creates a short list. The winner of the Nobel Peace Prize 2016 will be announced in early October.

Don't worry though. Kristian Berg Harpviken, head of the Peace Research Institute in Oslo gives Trump no chances of winning according to Reuters.
Nominators have to fulfill specific requirements to make a nomination for the Peace Prize. Persons allowed to submit a nomination are members of national assemblies and governments of states, members of international courts, University rectors; professors of social sciences, history, philosophy, law and theology; directors of peace research institutes and foreign policy institutes, Persons who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, Board members of organizations that have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, Active and former members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee; (proposals by members of the Committee to be submitted no later than at the first meeting of the Committee after February 1) and Former advisers to the Norwegian Nobel Committee.

Other revealed nominations for the 2016 Nobel Peace prize are Edward Snowden and Greek islanders helping Syrian refugees.
