The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT are all ready for their Indian debut.
The Jeep Brand is about to enter one of the world’s largest automobile markets i.e. India. The Jeep vehicles will debut at the 2016 Auto Expo in New Delhi.

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT will make their Indian debut. Sales of the Jeep vehicles in India will start summer 2016.
Jeep has already had record worldwide sales and is continuing its global expansion. The expansion in India is another milestone by the Jeep brand. Jeep sold more than 1.2 million units worldwide in 2015. The numbers are the highest total in Jeep’s 75-year history.
The Jeep line-up introduction in India also coincides with the 75th anniversary of Jeep. Mike Manley is the Head of Jeep. According to Manley the aggressive expansion in international markets is the key reasons behind their sales momentum. India is the fifth largest market in the world. Jeep’s launch in India will set the foundation for their future growth.
“Our aggressive expansion in international markets is one of the key drivers behind our current global sales momentum,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand, FCA, and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Asia Pacific (APAC) Regional Operations Group.
“Last year, we started local production in Brazil and China, and today, we are launching the Jeep brand in the fifth largest market in the world, India, setting the foundation for our future growth in this country.”
In 2015 the Jeep head Fiat announced they intend to invest approximately $280 million with Tata Motors Limited. The investment will take place at the manufacturing facility in Ranjangaon, India.
The facility will produce new Jeep vehicles and is expected to begin production in 2017. In India the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee will be sold with diesel and petrol engines. The sales will take place through a network of dealers located in key metro cities.
