Bella Heathcote has been cast in the role of Christian Grey’s ex-girlfriend who will be stalking Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades Darker.
Last week, Kim Basinger joined the cast of the BDSM cult hit Fifty Shades franchise as the ex-lover/dominant as Elena Lincoln. Elena Lincoln is the character that started the BDSM relationship with Christian Grey when he was young and she is the one to accredit with Christian’s eclectic sexual tastes.

One other character who was also involved with Christian’s sexual tastes was Leila Williams. One of Christian Grey’s previous conquests, ex-girlfriends and submissive, Leila’s character was introduced by author E.L. James in the second book Fifty Shades Darker, the second book in the series. Now as the movie is underway, the casting for new characters is also getting the spotlight.
The 28 years old Australian actress Bella Heathcote has been confirmed to play the character of Leila Williams. The blonde beauty is a contrast to Dakota Johnson but will be representing the post-Christian Grey victim. Leila’s character is envious and obsessive and she will be stalking Anastasia for the better part of the story.
Bella’s already worked on some great projects in Hollywood and she is a household name in Australia with her role in the Australian series Neighbours. She has been acting since she was 12 years old.
Bella can be seen in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies as Jane Bennett and will be featuring in Neon Demon alongside Keanu Reeves and Elle Fanning later this year.
Jamie Dornan and Dakota Fanning will be reprising their roles as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele respectively. James Foley will be the new director for the project with Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti producing along with James and Marcus Viscidi.

Niall Leonard and “Fifty Shades” author E.L. James are penning the script, according to Variety. Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini will also return to the cast. The movie is expected to hit theaters next year in February.
