All that is about to change since Pininfarina has just released a new teaser. The image confirms that Pininfarina is up and running again. The teaser also shows that Pininfarina is gearing up something really special for Geneva.
In 2013 Pininfarina released a dramatic looking machine, named simply as Sergio. The concept commemorated the company’s founder and was making waves at the 83rd Geneva Motor Show.
Soon after the company went into trouble. Today Mahindra has acquired 76-percent of the Italian design house. The deal took place for an amount of $28 million.
The teaser concept by Pininfarina will debut at the Swiss motoring event, on March 1st. Even though the teaser doesn’t reveal much, the vehicle’s sharp front end seems reminiscent of the Sergio design study.
Caption does mention a new and exciting concept car. So let’s expect something more than the aforementioned prototype. There might be subtle design changes and a new paint scheme. The new concept will mark a new era for the automotive car designer and coachbuilder Pininfarina.
