In this 50 minute comedy biopic, Johnny Depp was seen acting as Donald Trump, who is a businessman-turned-politician. This movie was kept secret until its release.
It is called Funny or Die’s “The Art of the Deal” featuring Donald Trump. According to NYTimes, it was released after Trump won in New Hampshire on Tuesday.
Adam McKay, who is the co-founder of Funny or Die said that it was a totally crazy idea but they managed to pull it off in the best way possible. The title of the movie “The Art of the Deal” is inspired by Trump’s bestselling book which was published in 1987.
Depp spent four days taping this faux movie. However, he was not available for an interview. The movie is supposedly set in the 1980s. Its script is written by former editor of “The Onion” and “@midnight”, Joe Randazzo. Jeremy Konner directed it and he is the director of the series “Drunk History”.
Donald Trump is mocked in this biopic as he is mocked at many other places too. There was another comedy script by the name of “Mexican Donald Trump”, also co-written by McKay which made fun of him.
