Elon Musk wants you to know that there is a Tesla Model S for Kids from Radio Flyer.
Toy maker Radio Flyer has teamed up with Tesla Motors to create a Tesla Model S for Kids electric ride-on car. When you are parent and get a Tesla Model S, calculate an extra $500 to buy a Tesla Model S for you kid. This is how much you have to pay for the new Tesla Model S for kids toy car.
$500 is more than most other 12V Ride-on toy cars sell for, but you get some luxury options. First off the Tesla Model S for Kids is a bit fast going 6mph. Most other 12V ride-on cars top out at 5mph.
The battery of the Tesla toy car is based on Lithium Ion Technology for better performance. For $50 more you can opt for a Premium Battery offering double the driving time compared to the standard battery.
Other upgrade options include Black wheels, indoor car cover and license plate.
Features include working headlights, a front trunk, forward and reverse and a sound system.
Elon Musk took to Twitter to promote the new Tesla Model S toy car saying: "This baby Model S really is quite fun."
The $499 Tesla Model S for Kids is available for pre-order now and will ship in May. The toy car is for kids age 3-8 and a maximum weight capacity of 81lbs. Watch the Tesla Model S for Kids in action below.
