Tobii in partnership with Ubisoft has released new eye tracking features for Tom Clancy’s The Division which is set to launch on March 8, 2016. Tobii is a global leader in eye tracking and Ubisoft is a global leader in creating and distributing quality games. The new eye tracking features are available for the PC version of the game.

“Collaboration and teamwork are at the core of Tom Clancy’s The Division. With eye tracking, we’ve been able to enhance communication bandwidth between players, giving them an additional way to signal their intent,” said Stuart White, senior producer at Red Storm Entertainment, a Ubisoft studio. “Tobii’s eye tracking implementation has taken the definition of teamwork in the game to an entirely new level and we can’t wait for gamers to experience the enhanced immersion it provides.”

This game is the first to be released within the Tom Clancy universe bearing “Enemy Tagging” which enables players to highlight opponents for the benefit of allies, making it possible to tell the enemy’s position non-verbally without the use of verbal cues.

“Ubisoft is innovating the way we as humans interact with games in The Division and we’re incredibly fortunate to work with their team to develop this new benchmark in gaming,” said Oscar Werner, president of Tobii Tech. “We are still at an early stage in our long-term ambition to create a widespread adaption of eye tracking in games. Integration in a major title like The Division is an important step on this journey.”

Within The Division game, players with Tobii eye tracker will be able to exploit the following features without any hassles:

-    Aim @ gaze
-    Grenade @ gaze
-    Cover @ gaze
-    Enemy tagging
-    Collaborative targeting
-    Extended view
-    EyeX marks the spot
-    Clean UI

These include Tobii EyeX and SteelSeries Sentry, while users who buy the MSI GT72 S Tobii gaming notebook will get a free copy of The Division by Tom Clancy.
