For Android users, they have been able to use the Google Gmail Android App with their non-Gmail accounts like Outlook and Yahoo. Now, the company is moving further down that line. Today, the Alphabet company introduced a new feature called "Gmailify" that allows users to take advantage of the superior spam protection, organization, Google Now functions, and everything else Gmail users love - but they won't have to change their emails.

This means that you will be able to check your emails within the mobile application - and manage them! This is a breakthrough for people who want the quality of Google's email server, but doesn't want to go through the hassle of changing their email addresses.

According to TechCrunch, you will have to "Gmailify" your non-Gmail account even if you are already using the app. But it is simple. All you have to do is open the app, sign into the external accounts and then "enable Gmailify."

This will essential link your account to Gmail. You'll go to the "Settings" screen and link your accounts there. You won't have to do anything different when you go to the web version.

You can choose to unlink the accounts at any time, the company also said.

This isn't the first time a company tries to woo customers. Yahoo has also been trying to do the same thing by using "smart" contacts and password-free sign in. Look for other companies to the same very soon.
