The most eye-catching detail in the teaser image is the silhouette of tiny ‘Baby Groot’.
The filming for Guardians of the Galaxy follow-up has already begun. The original cast members will all be returning. Meaning Chris Pratt will reprise his role as Peter Quill/Star-Lord and so will Zoe Saldana as Gamora.

Similarly Dave Bautista will portray Drax the Destroyer and Bradley Cooper will voice Rocket Raccoon. The first teaser image for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. has been released by Marvel Studios.
The teaser image shows the silhouette of all the members of the original team. Other than the official title the teaser image does not reveal any new details.
Although the director James Gunn did reveal the film will be ‘A story about fathers’. The film will follow the team’s adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage.
One detail that caught the attention of a lot of fans is the presence of tiny little ‘Baby Groot’. In the upcoming film Groot is still not fully grown and will still be in his baby phase. The teaser image shows Baby Groot on the shoulder of Drax.
Previously it was announced a new line-up of stars have been signed on for the next film. Some of the new cast members include Pom Klementieff, who will play the extra-terrestrial Mantis.
Similarly Elizabeth Debicki will play an undisclosed role. The most prominent of the new castings is the appointment of the legendary Kurt Russell. It is rumored Kurt Russell will play Peter’s mysterious non-human father in the film.

Russell’s casting was confirmed by the director Gunn on his official Facebook page. Glenn Close, Michael Rooker and Karen Gillan will also reprise their roles for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
