Some very weird music was heard by the astronauts of Apollo 10 on the far side of the moon. They didn’t mention the fact when they got back to planet earth.
The mission that was Apollo 10 went into orbit around the moon. When they approached the far side of the moon, for a span of approximately one hour, their spacecraft lost touch with ground control.

That was when they all began hearing strange sounds that had an outer space touch to them. The weird music was like a whistling of sorts. They were amazed and almost frightened by the bizarre occurrence.
The astronauts on board Apollo 10 talked to each other about this peculiar situation. They agreed upon the fact that it was disconcerting to say the least.
Then they began wondering whether they ought to report the incidence when they got back home. However, none of them wanted to be considered lunatics (no pun intended).
So they decided to keep mum about the strange situation and kept the secret for so long. It was only in 2008 when the mission recordings were declassified that the whole incidence came to light.
What went on board the Apollo 10 mission may indeed have been the stuff of UFO stories. Nevertheless, we have to separate fact from fiction here.
Usually there is a simpler and more scientific answer than all the conspiracy theories of the world which are nothing but loser bait. The whistling sound was not outer space music but probably just the interference noise between the radio signals of the lunar module and the mother spacecraft.
Thus there is clearly a rational explanation that makes things plain as the light of day. There is no need of going into strange out-of-this-world theories that have all the trappings of weirdness.
While there is a lot of attraction and pulling power in the “alien music” theory, the truth is not that interesting. Other astronauts who have undergone the same experience say that had they not been briefed about this, they would probably have been scared witless.
Michael Collins was especially one such astronaut who experienced this weird music and laughed it off as the interference between the radio signals of the lunar module and the mother spacecraft.
He did not go jumping to conclusions like the astronauts of Apollo 10. It seems that madness is more interesting but it is healthier to be normal.
