Samsung has done everything right with the new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.
Samsung unveiled the new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge at the Mobile World Congress 2016 on Sunday. With this iteration of the Samsung Galaxy flagship the South Korean consumer electronics company did everything right on first glance. The company focused to improve on the essential functionality that consumers want in smartphone: a great camera, long battery life, bright and sharp screen, water resistance and expandable memory.

Samsung brought back the microSD card slot in the Galaxy S7, allowing owners to expand the memory to 200GB. The lack of an SD slot in the Galaxy S6 turned away many Galaxy fans.
Always On screens are big in 2016. The LG G5 has it and also the Galaxy S7, allowing for new uses.
The new dual pixel camera in the Galaxy S7 is a first in smartphones. Thanks to Dual Pixel technology, brighter lens with wider aperture, and bigger pixel the camera has a faster shutter speed and a more accurate autofocus even in low-light conditions. Motion Panorama, a new camera mode, brings movement to traditional panoramic photos, giving the user a completely immersive visual experience.
Wireless charging, fingerprint sensor, IP68 water and dust resistance and Samsung Pay round out the Galaxy S7. Unless Galaxy S7 reviews and tests discover any issues, the Samsung Galaxy S7 should help Samsung to gain back marketshare in 2016.
Samsung does not take any chances and offers a free Gear VR bundle worth $150 with Galaxy S7 pre-orders starting Feb. 23. The Galaxy S7 ships on March 11.
