Whoopi Goldberg was mislabeled Oprah Winfrey at the Oscars on Sunday. Oprah herself took it lightly though. She laughed off the social blunder as one of those small and silly mistakes that are likely to occur.

In fact, Oprah’s best friend, Gayle King posted an Instagram photo of her gazing at her smart phone in wonderment. The news was that a venue had her gracing a red carpet event at the Oscars 2016.
While Oprah did not give a full response to the mix-up, what little she has said in the way of words are enough to lend the impression that she has taken it all with a grain of salt.
Such things happen and you can never blame a single individual for them. We are after all human beings and that means that we are imperfect.
None of us has a right to lord it over someone else just because he or she has a few flaws in their personality. It would be a better bet to look towards correcting ourselves instead.
Oprah tweeted about the Oscars and joked about the humorous connotations of the blunder. Even the Oscars, where perfection was expected from everybody, were a place where small errors were routine.
Just because so much money was invested in the whole shebang didn’t mean that it would be an angelic display of pristine proportions. There were bound to be many wrinkles and pimples that showed up thereby exposing the reality behind the appearance.

Oprah was generally supportive of the Black Cause. This was evident from her hollering out in favor of Chris Rock. She said that Chris Rock was finally breathing in a tweet that was meant to buck up the cocky Black American comedian.
