The 2017 Acura NSX is a finessed version and reboot of the original NSX supercar.
The reboot of the original Acura NSX is finally here. The 2017 Acura NSX was revealed to the press for its very first road drive a while ago. The new Acura NSX features no new crazy swoops or melodramatic fins.

Instead the 2017 Acura NSX has a finessed version of the trademark Acura design. The most eye-catching aspects of the design are the pop-out door handles which add a neat touch.
Similarly the side mirrors are also a beautiful addition to the new design. The design does look similar to the first Acura NSX Concept revealed in 2012.
But the new production version does have new added perks. The 2017 Acura NSX will also be available in a carbon fiber styling package. The package will include a new roof, lip spoiler, engine cover, and other components.
Acura also announced the new 2017 NSX will be a hybrid. Originally in 2012 it was not the plan. The production version was supposed to have a gas engine.
But it seems with time Acura is catching up on the new trend of green emissions. According to Acura the NSX will have the best abilities of both gasoline and electric drivetrains.
The 2017 Acura NSX will have a 3.5-liter, twin turbo V6 engine, capable of 500 horsepower and 406 lb-ft. of torque. The engine is combines with a 9-speed, DCT transmission.
Similarly the hybrid will have three electric motors. One of the motors will be attached to the gas engine and will be called the Direct Drive Motor. The motor will further add 46 horsepower and 109 lb-ft. of torque.
The NSX starts at $156,000. There are lots of options to quickly get the MSRP of the new 2017 NSX over $200,000.
