Zendaya, Kelly Clarkson and Missy Elliot and more stars have been called on-board with the First Lady to sing “This Is For My Girls”.
Michelle Obama has two daughters of her own and she has spent almost the past entire decade looking at the state of education of girls around the world so it seems very natural if the First Lady is starting a movement #62MillionGirls which is for educating the girls worldwide via the Let Girls Learn Fund headed by the Peace Corps.

One of the first steps that Michelle Obama took to propagate her mission was to get a powerhouse of female singers to sing an anthem song titled, ‘This Is For My Girls’.
Obama says that the anthem is like a strident, girl power anthem. It will have a sound like "We Are the World meets Lady Marmalade".
The track has been written by Grammy winning songwriter Diane Warren who has ‘I Don't Want To Miss A Thing’ and ‘Un-Break My Heart’ to her credit. The song has been made by AOL.com.
The next step was to get a power pack of vocals on the track and Obama did not disappoint. Featuring on the track are the voices of Janelle Monae, Kelly Rowland, Zendaya, Lea Michele, Kelly Clarkson, Jadagrace, Chloe and Hale and Missy Elliott. Now that’s a power house of vocals. All of these ladies said that they were honored to get the call and they truly support the purpose.
Michelle Obama released the track before her SXSW festival’s keynote address. She is expected to talk about the issue on the festival and will be joined by Missy Elliot and Diane Warren for a panel discussion which will be moderated by Sophia Bush and Queen Latifah.
