By looking at the statistics, it seems like the pre-release tickets are about to break the records of many famous movies. It has already gotten more sales than “The Avengers” which opened at $200 million.
Early ticket sales don’t give an indication about the success of a movie. However, these pre-release numbers do tell about the interest viewers show regarding a movie.
The stats show that “Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice” has sold tickets of $25 million up till now. This number is definitely bigger than the recent hit movie Deadpool’s before-release tickets’ earnings. Deadpool’s opening weeks’ earnings were $132.4 million. “Deadpool” had an opening at par with “The Dark Knight”.
Box Office analyst Movio (via CinemaBlend), which studies the trends of ticket buying among the audience, gave an interesting comparison early on. They compared the ticket buyers of this movie to the ones of “The Jurassic World.” It was seen that the audience interested in “Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice” falls in the average age category of 30.3 years.
This is pretty close to “The Jurassic World’s” audience. The buyers also happen to be males in abundance, thus making 82% of the audience comprise men. Meanwhile Jurassic Park had an audience of which 64% were males.
If this trend and these numbers follow through, then Warner Brothers can have great luck with this movie. “Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice” is going to be released on the 25th March on a worldwide level.
Don't Miss: Nintendo Switch: Everything You Need To Know
This movie is going to introduce Justice League in a special way. Many follow up movies for this film are already lined up for production. The ticketing numbers show that this movie is likely to do well at the box office. If the trend persists then there won’t be any problem in earning a $350 million opening for this movie.
