40 years in 40 seconds kicked off the Apple Media event. Apple is celebrating its 40th birthday on April 1, 2016. Tim Cook began with the event with the anniversary.

After announcing that 1 billion active Apple devices are in the world, Tim Cook made a point in talking about the FBI case. He thanks the people for the support.

The live stream of the Apple Media Event started at 10am PDT, 1pm ET. Tim Cook and his executive team present the new products.

Ahead of the March 21 event, Apple was rumored to unveil an 4-inch iPhone SE, a new small 9.7-inch iPad Pro and new Apple Watch models or bands. The new Apple Watch bands include a NATO style nylon line of bands. The latest rumors ahead of the event revealed that the iPad Pro will get either a Flash for the iSight camera or even sport a dual camera. If anything of the rumors materialized remains to be seen as the event is underway.

Apple CEO Tim Cook might make a statement about the FBI case at the event. After the March 21 event, the next big Apple event is the WWDC 2016 likely to take place in June. The iPhone 7, which is scheduled to be released this Fall, has already got as much or even more attention than the new 4-inch iPhone SE.
