The app was rumored to connect the Gear S2 Smartwatch with an iPhone. During the Consumers Electronic Show in January, Samsung confirmed that the Gear S2 will be compatible with all the iOS powered devices by the end of this year.
Samsung didn’t reveal anything about the arrival of the update but it looks like it is arriving very soon.
Various reports have suggested that the Gear S2 will receive an update by the end of March.
It is expected that the update will bring iOS support to the Smartwatch and the Gear Manger will also be announced for the iOS devices.
The features and the new announcements related with the update are not revealed yet.
However, there will be some features exclusive to the Samsung Smartphones only.
Like, Samsung Pay will only work when the Smartwatch is connected to a Samsung device.
It must be noted that the previous rumors had suggested that the update will arrive around mid-January.
But unexpectedly no such thing happened. Hopefully we will see the update rollout very soon.
