iPhone SE Pre-order Launched amidst 64GB Model Shortage

The iPhone SE is up for pre-order. Some 64GB models will begin shipping in a week.

The iPhone SE is available for pre-order today, March 24. Apple will start shipping the new small iPhone on March 31. The iPhone SE starts at $399 with 16GB storage.

Apple offers pre-order of the iPhone SE on the online Apple Store at apple.com and it is still easy going. The shipping date has not yet slipped for the iPhone SE 16GB. The $499 iPhone SE with 64GB starts to slip for select colors by one week. The silver and space grey iPhone SE 64GB are shipping now 5-7 days later.

Update: 24 hours after the pre-order launch the iPhone SE 64GB shipping date has slipped by two weeks. This is now affecting all four colors, including the questionable rose gold. This affects iPhone SE on AT&T and T-Mobile. Sprint and Verizon choices ship still March 31.

The delayed shipment time frames are depending on shipping option: Apr 8 - Apr 13 (Fastest) and Apr 12 - Apr 15 (Free).

The gold and rose gold versions are still shipping March 31. Carriers and retailers like Best Buy offer the iPhone SE as well. If you cannot get it in the Apple Store try other places.

The iPhone SE offers state-of-the-art performance with the same 64-bit A9 chip offered in iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus for blazing fast speeds, longer battery life, faster wireless, a 12-megapixel iSight camera featuring Live Photos and 4K video, and Touch ID with Apple Pay. iPhone SE also includes more LTE bands for better worldwide roaming and supports Voice over LTE and Wi-Fi calling for high-quality wide-band calls.
