Gal Gadot and Wonder Woman get their moment in the spotlight this year after struggling for years.

In the en-masse of bad critics and reviews for the Warner Bros. DC Comic’s new movie Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, there was one character that stood out the most in the entire plot of the movie.

In the entire movie filled with characterizations of the two superheroes that was heavily flawed and compromised, critics have agreed that THE Wonder Woman cameo was a refreshing relief.

She was the only character that seemed to be fighting for the right reasons and with her whole heart and soul. It left the audience wanting to know more about the Amazon warrior princess.

All of these fans will be glad to know that they will get to see more of her next year in not one but two movies. Her own solo movie Wonder Woman during the summer and League of Justice in November. Happy yet?

There’s more to know. The first trailer for Wonder Woman has already been released and we get glimpses of her origin from the Amazon, her parentage, her exploration of the world and her fight for mankind.

In days to come we will come to know more and more about Wonder Woman while Warner Bros. promotes the movie extensively. We already know that the movie is exhibiting the Amazon and the director, Patty Jenkins and team have created the world of Themyscira aspiring from the Amazon and more.

They shot in islands near Italy and China to give it an authentic look. In the first official photo, we get to see the three women that were responsible for bringing up and training Princess Diana aka Wonder Woman played by Gal Gadot.

Diana’s mother, Queen Hippolyta played by Gladiator’s Connie Nielsen, and her two military aunts including General Antiope played by Robin Wright and Antiope’s lieutenant, Menalippe played by Lisa Loven Kongsli.

All the women have different view about bringing up Princess Diana and we get the impression that she is the moulded with the qualities of all three of the women.

In a poster, we got to see all four women in their Themysciran costumes which include manly body armours, headwear and heels. Lindy Hemming, costume designer admitted that she wanted these super women to look sexy and badass.

She said that their femininity should not be compromised for the sake of looking stronger. She said that she wanted to aspire in women that Wonder Woman was not afraid to embrace womanhood and that makes her a different hero than men.

This is exactly what Gal Gadot had in mind too when she signed up for the role. The 30 year old actress is a mother of a young daughter name Alma.

She said that she wants to do roles that her daughter would see and aspire to in the future. Gal has been on the scene for a long time now. She started modelling when she competed in the Miss Israel 2004 and won but failed to advance much in the Miss Universe contest.

She posed for Maxim while she was completing her compulsory military training in Israel and later progressed to law school. She was approached by a casting agent to audition for Quantum of Solace but she didn’t get the part.

She was however casted in the fourth instalment of Fast and the Furious franchise and starred in three movies. She has done multiple roles from then but Wonder Woman is Gal’s big shot in the spotlight. This is her moment of glory in Hollywood.
