Apple during its March 21st event revealed a lot more than it was expected to. The company also announced a couple of new accessories too.

The most notable among them was the USB Type-C to Lightning adapter ($25).
The most amazing part of this adapter is that it can be used to charge an apple device using the Macbook’s only connection port, a single USB Type-C port.
Along with the Type-C adapter, Apple has also started to sell its very own USB Type-C power adapter with 29W.
The new cable fits perfectly with iPad Pro 12.9 inch. What’s more is that the USB C Adapter can charge the battery much faster than the officially included 12W charger.
According to 9to5Mac, the official charger only makes it to 5% after 20 minutes of charging while the faster adapter charged the iPad Pro up to 14% in the same amount of time.
This is equal to 64% better experience than the included 12W power charger. The test discussed above was done with max screen brightness and airplane mode on.
The maximum brightness was kept till the the timer hit 10 minutes, then on minimum brightness for the remaining 10 minutes.
Now the question arises why this super fast tablet was not made a part of the $800 tablet? However, the answer is pretty clear.
The company is very clever, and in case it would have included the charger along with the tablet it wouldn’t have been able to charge extra $75.
But, if you own a 12-inch MacBook, then the charger that accompanies the tablet is the same $50 29W USB Type-C charger from the company.
