The people were also tested to see if they remembered a shopping list after ten minutes of reading a story. The individuals couldn’t predict which items they would forget.
It was as if they were unable to detect the bouts of forgetfulness they would encounter later on after they had crammed so much into their minds.
Therefore carrying a shopping list with them was a mandatory step for shoppers. Yet no matter how intuitively necessary this solution may be, more than half of all shopping addicts go off into the malls without such a list.
