Tesla fans and especially the media get frustrated by not knowing anything about the Tesla Model 3. Elon Musk will unveil the Model 3 on Thursday, 8:30pm PST. Eager customers can pre-order a Model 3 unseen beginning in the morning when Tesla retail locations open.

Bloomberg just published a report titled "The 17 Secrets We Think We Know About Tesla's Model 3." Tom Randall does a great job of finding 17 talking points about a car that is completely under wraps. So far Tesla Motors and Elon Musk only revealed the name, range and price of the Model 3. Everything else are predictions and guesses.
The reservation for the Model 3 begins at the same local time world-wide in Tesla Stores. A Model 3 reservation requires a $1,000 deposit. The Model 3 reservation agreement is already available for interested customers to read ahead of the pre-order. Tesla Motors and SpaceX employee reportedly are already able to pre-order a Model 3.
Note that the logo of the Model 3 will have three horizontal lines that resemble an E. Musk wanted to call car Model E in the first place, but Ford owns the trademark.
The Model 3 is going to be the most important car for Tesla Motors. It is the car the whole company value is based on. If the Model 3 is successful, Tesla becomes a mainstream car maker. If this $35,000 electric car is a failure, the company could burn up in flames.
In Sydney, Australia, the first guy is already in line at a Tesla Motors store to pre-order a Model 3. This should give Elon Musk some hope. EFTM reports that the first guy in line is Andreas Stephens. He is prepared to wait 48 hours outside of a Tesla store until the Model 3 pre-order is available.
The Tesla Model 3 is planned to go into production in 2017. First deliveries could come end of 2017 in the West Coast. Tesla Motors announced to gradually start shipping the Model 3 from west to east and then begin delivery outside of the United States.
