This study is based on previous research that points out the salubrious effects of consuming pulses on a daily basis. Not only did subjects feel more satiated but they also lowered their cholesterol levels in the process.

The study involved 21 clinical trials in which 940 mature men and women participated. They lost about a pound each over a period of a month and a half.
