MTV Movie Awards 2016: All You Need to Know
  • The Excitement and the Expectations from 2016 MTV Movie Awards

The 2016 MTV Movie Awards promise to bring the best and the funniest show with a star studded evening and hosts Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart.

What do you get when you put a 6 feet 4 inches body builder and a 5 feet 4 inches funny man together? The movie Central Intelligence. Yes, that and the 2016 MTV Music Awards. That’s right this year, Dwayne Johnson more commonly known by his wrestler name The Rock and last year’s Comedic Genius winner, Kevin Hart are set to blaze this year’s MTV Movie Awards stage. Both the stars have their own plan on how to make this year’s show great. Following up on Amy Schumer’s act last year, Johnson and Hart are set on keeping things casual.

They are not going to be wearing formal clothing, have prepared the fans that there will be some dirty jokes throughout the show and people can also expect some drag to happen because according to Dwayne, Kevin looks great in drag. Knowing Kevin Hart, anything’s possible but let us not forget that Dwayne Johnson has also proven himself as a comedic muscle man over the past few years and we can see the live action from these two great performers on stage.

The MTV Movie Awards are one of the most fun and casual events in Hollywood where the nominees are selected on the basis of being fan favourites and popularity. The fans vote for their favourite categories in some usual categories like Best Movie, Best Actor and Best Actress and then there are some unique categories like Best Fight, Best Kiss and even Best Shirtless Actor. It honours the actors who have given so much to Hollywood with Awards like the Comedic Genius award, Generation Award and Trail Blazer award.

So MTV Movie Awards are for all the franchise action, superhero, fictional adaptation movies and the comedy movies that never make it to any festivals or the guild awards or the Oscars.
