Kylie Jenner sometimes has a problem with her mouth. The youngest member of the Kardashian Klan is constantly saying or typing things (as it seems like all she does it post on social media) that go against her better intentions.
The newest edition of Marie Claire is full of things that maybe Kylie shouldn't have said.
First, she claimed that she doesn't like taking sexy selfies, even though that appears to be the way she made her career. She posts them every day, so it begs people to ask the question "Why doesn't she just stop then?"
However, the thing that is getting many people up in arms is that she said the she created the idea of wearing wigs - which is odd, because people have been wearing wigs for literal centuries.
"I started wigs, and now everyone is wearing wigs," she said. "[Kim Kardashian] just used my wig guy last night."
As reported by the Global Grind, Kylie added: "I just do whatever I want to do, and people will follow."
While this might be true, because people are buying the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit despite the fact that it isn't all that great and people don't look any different.
However, the problem is that the "wig" comment might just be another example of how Kylie doesn't understand the world around her. Wigs have long been a part of popular culture, with stars like Beyoncé and Lady Gaga noticeably wearing them.
Even more, she is completely erasing the women who have started and continued the trend for decades, namely women of color.
This isn't the first time that Jenner has be called out on cultural appropriation. She takes beauty trends, like cornrows or plumped lips, and claims credit for making them popular, when for years they had been considered unattractive by media. It was only when Jenner - a white woman - did it, that they were considered beautiful.

Is this just a case of Jenner not be able to think outside of her privileged bubble, or is it insight into a greater problem?
