9.7" iPad Pro Screen Has The Best Performing Mobile LCD Ever Made

We already knew that the two color variants, low reflecting capability with more brightness and the True Tone technology with Retina display was already too high class in the new 9.7 inch iPad Pro by Apple. But we didn’t know that according to surveys, it has turned out as the best performance mobile LCD ever too.

DisplayMate’s Ray Soneira has been on the outlook for detailed examination of the Retina display and found the following record breaking results. It is said that: When it comes to both its color gamuts, it has the best ever and highest color accuracy Talking about the mobile display features, it has the lowest screen reflecting feature.

The contrast rating in ambient light is also very high while even through various viewing angles, it has the least color variation. It is hoped that these absolute improvements shall be available now on starting from the Apple iPhone 7.

Soneira also believes that the low reflecting factor as well as the wide color gamut could increase the iPhone performance and reading conditions in high light as well.

According to him, the looks of the new iPad Pro have taken all numbers from the previous 12.9 inch model except for the black color in which the contrast is more towards the darker side. However, this does not in any way deny that the new iPad Pro is an iconic model itself.

There are two new four-channel light sensors that manage the brightness and color temperature accordingly to give their viewers a paper like display. For instance, when under incandescent color temperature of 3,000K the color went from 6,946K to 5,500K for proper visibility.

This is the best ambience as if one is reading on a screen with white background. There is also an adjustment slider for the same, through which users can set the True Tone according to their own preferences.

The tests performed by DisplayMate remain true to those of what Apple had claimed as the new iPad Pro was 25 pc better in brightness and 40 pc better in low reflection as compared to the iPad Air 2.

The tablet also has 25 pc greater color saturation than the iPad Air 2 while it also matches the color reproduction given with the Retina 5K display of iMac for the gamut.
