It is probably the worst (and best) idea to try to break this record.

If you regularly feel guilty about binge watching some of your favorite shows, then you might want to hang on for some really good news: you could go down in history for your binge watching skills! Variety has a report of a 25-year-old Brooklyn man who set the new Guinness World Record for TV binge watching, where he watched shows for an eye watering 94 hours.

Over the course of five days, Alejandro Fragoso, who is better known as "AJ" watched back-to-back episodes of a variety of shows, including “Game of Thrones,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Battlestar Galactica,” “Twilight Zone,” “Bob’s Burgers” and “Adventure Time.” The binge session was sponsored by multimedia software company Cyberlink, who held the event in a midtown Manhattan apartment. It started on Friday, April 8 and lasted until the 94-hour mark, Tuesday at 5 a.m.

The venture actually started out as one of a three-person group who was trying to break the record, but Fragoso was the only person able to make it to the end. He beat the previous world record which was held by a group of five Austrians, by two hours.

Now, for the bad news. The study found out that watching that much television, at least according to Fragoso, was "quite physically taxing" and he was exhausted by the end. According to tests done after the binge, Fragoso had an elevated heart rate and suffered many neurological side effects, including acute hallucinations and involuntary open-eyed micronaps.

Fragoso said that his Mediterranean diet and frequent standing and stretching helped him to fight fatigue and keep his blood sugar stable.
