Some casting information has come out about Phil Lord and Chris Miller's Han Solo Star Wars standalone film that has been veiled in secrecy. According to a new report from Deadline, Alden Ehrenreich has emerged as the frontrunner for the role. This may come as a bit of a surprise, seeing as it was the role that every other young actor in Hollywood has been trying to get a meeting for during the last year.

Ehreneich has been described as a scene stealer in many of his movies, especially in the latest Coen Bros film, Hail, Ceasar!, where he played Hobie Doyle. He is one of the most promising young up and coming actors. If he is the person that gets cast in the role of Han Solo, it could push him toward superstardom like it has done with some of the other unknowns from the series.
There are two other actors in consideration for the iconic role, including Taron Egerton and Jack Reynor. All of the actors are solid talents, and none of them are huge names (yet), so it shows you what type of talent you could be expecting in some of the other characters.
