  • The First Look of “The Birth of a Nation” is Revealed and it Certainly Looks Oscar-Worthy.

The first trailer of “The Birth of a Nation” has been released and it has bagged only positive reviews from all sides.

It looks like Nate Parkers “The Birth of a Nation” is all set to get huge appreciation from the world due to its strong storyline and great cinematography.

This movie is based on the slave rebellion that was started by Nat Turner in 1831. The title of this movie is inspired by a 1915 movie of the same name that was produced by D.W. Griffith.

“The Birth of a Nation” which generated serious positive reviews got a jury prize along with an audience award at Sundance. It also got a standing ovation at the festival which is a huge honor.

It looks like it is going to get its hands on the Academy Award as well. It has been sold to Fox for a great amount ($17.5 million to be exact). It will be released in 7th October, later this year.

The haunting first trailer of the movie shows Nat Turner. Nat is a preacher and enslaved person who stands up against the slavery of humans. He is turned in to a preacher by his owner Samuel Turner which is played by Armie Hammer. 

Turner who is given the task of religious preaching goes on to foment a rebellion against slavery. Turner later on turns this rebellion into one of the biggest rebellions against slavery. This movie will star Hammer, Parker, Penelope Ann Miller, Aja Naomi King, Mark Boone Jr., and Jackie Earle Haley. 

Parker told the news reporters that this movie will bring about some reform against racism and white supremacy in America. At first look the movie seems to be about the melancholic tale of the people who had to undergo so many cruelties when slavery was acknowledged as a legal thing.
