Everyone had been thinking that with the alternate solution gained by the FBI, the duel between Apple and FBI was over, but this is not the case yet. Both of them shall be returning back to court next week where a detailed study shall take place as to why the disagreements actually took place over the encryption issue according to Reuters .
Bruce Sewell and Amy Hess shall be present from Apple as General Counsel and FBI as Executive Assistant for Science and Technology respectively. While people may think that the case came to an end because FBI found an alternative way however and ended it however it was the governmental agency that had provided them with a list of freelance hackers that could help them.
Hence both the sides shall be testifying in front of the House Energy and Commerce subcommittee by 19th April 2016 on Tuesday. The hearing titled “Deciphering the Debate over Encryption: Industry and Law Enforcement Perspectives” shall be lead from the second panel by Bruce as Ness shall be putting up the agency’s case as the first panel supported by Chief of NYPD’s Intelligence Bureau, Thomas Galati as well. Other legal experts shall be joining Bruce as well who are also encryption experts.
Among them are Security expert Amit Yoran, MIT Researcher Daniel Weitzner and cryptology expert Matt Blaze. It is not known if any expertise shall be joining for Ness but her role shall only be to force companies to give in to the government demands when encryption breaching is mandatory for security.
