SNL has honored “The Artist Known as Prince” in hindsight. He passed away before his time and left behind a cornucopia of beautiful mystical songs.
Prince has left this world for the next one. He died after a bout with the flu and will always be remembered in kind words for having enriched the musical mindscape. NASA has already honored Prince with Purple Nebula tweet.

SNL meanwhile is planning on a retrospective look at his accomplishments and achievements. The diehard fans of the androgynous pop star are still in the mourning process.
Yet a bit of a reminiscence in retrospective wouldn’t hurt anyone in the long run. Also it would keep the memory of the man who sang the legendary and epic song “Purple Rain” alive for all to remember fondly with tears streaming down their eyes.
Titled “SNL Goodnight Sweet Prince”, it will be a moment to watch with eyes wide open. While the late Prince rarely appeared on SNL during his lifetime, the few moments he did make it on the popular stage were marked by hysterical applause by his admirers.
His first performance was regarding the song “Party Up” in 1981. Then he appeared for a second time in 1989. The third time would be in 2006.
Among the songs he sang with passion and entertainment value were: Fury, Beautiful, Loved and Blessed, Clouds, Marz and Anotherlove.
Prince was a very private person like the enigmatic Bob Dylan. He had his eccentricities like any genius of his stature is liable to possess. SNL had a permanent show called The Prince Show which impersonated the singer and musician’s odd habits.
Saturday Night Live will air tonight at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.
Not only SNL but VH1 and MTV are getting ready to churn out shows that will commemorate the famous golden-voiced slim singer who was the very epitome of elegance.
The Peter Dinklage repeat-episodes will be cancelled in favor of a Prince Memorial Show, according to E! News. The general tenor of his fans is one of immense loss and sorrow at his passing away.
He didn’t deserve to die before his time since he could have made so many more contributions to the world of musicology. Prince was a highly sensitive and emotional person.
His music was the latest mixture of many genres. The man was a true experimenting existentialist. Many people owe tributes to Prince for influencing their style of music. He will be missed beyond what words could convey.
