A new entry in the tracking market comes out of Canada.
Canadian startup WeTraq has unveiled a credit card sized GPS tracker with global connectivity. WeTraq is not going to be smallest GPS tracker, but it is featuring flexible connectivity using GSM and Wi-fi with a pricing model that does not require a monthly fee.

Consumers are backing off getting a GPS tracker as most of them require a monthly subscription fee. This means you pay even without using it. WeTraq did not reveal in detail how they are able to offer global GSM connectivity without a monthly fee.
Other features of the WeTraq include Geo-fencing and SOS button. The battery life gets extended by a sleep mode function that can be configured amongst other options via a smartphone app.
WeTraq believes their tracker is ideal to help parents keep track of their kids. Caregivers and families can keep track of people affected by Autism and Dementia.
Ishaan Singla says that the company will soon launch a Kickstarter campaign to get the WeTraq device off the ground.
