We all know that Drake just adores his hometown which is Toronto, Canada. Yet fans were unprepared to view the extreme respect and infinite love he held in his heart for the place. This was illustrated on the album cover.
Although the cover of the album seems to be an up, close and personal view of the CN Tower, there is more than meets the eye here. Yes, you heard right!
Drake himself was perched on top of the CN Tower. What a surprise! He definitely seems to have a bird’s eye view of the situation on the ground from so far up there in the air.
Now that is what you call flying high. Drake also added some reminiscences along with the pic on the album cover by writing “To the city I love and the people in it”. He then also wrote a mini-postscript of sorts in the form of “Thank you for everything.”
After revealing the launch of his new album which was due soon, Drake also confessed that he owed it all to his hometown and its inhabitants. He hasn’t forgotten his roots which lie in Canada and Canada alone.
It just goes to prove that you can take the man out of Canada but you cannot take Canada out of the man. His main aim was to create a style of music that suited his hometown. It reflected the blend of culture and civilization that characterized Toronto which was one of the big cities of the global village.
The artworks on Drake’s upcoming album cover pretty much symbolize the man and his main source on a residential basis. He hasn’t revealed the entire track list on this album but he has given a sneak peek in the form of two songs.
