The Star Wars spinoff is ready to go and actor Alden Ehrenreich is being chosen for the role of Han Solo.

Numerous actors were considered for the portrayal of young Han Solo in the Star Wars spinoff. However our sources have revealed that Alden Ehrenreich has been chosen to play the role, according to PageSix.

Han Solo was the iconic character of Star Wars that was actually made popular by Harrison Ford’s acting. This new spinoff of Star Wars which is destined to release in 2018 will focus on Solo’s life before he joined the Rebel Alliance. 

Alden Ehrenreich who is 26 years old have been reported to have impressed a lot of people by his acting in “Hail Ceaser”. He will be playing a lead role in an untitled Fox project directed by Howard Hughes. The casting of a young Han Solo was kept a secret for very long. The casting was named as “Project Red Cup” which is in reference to the red plastic Han Solo cups. 

Lawrence Kasdan who wrote “The Empire Strikes Back” is the producer and script writer of this Star Wars spin off. She also wrote “The Force Awakens” and “Return of Jedi”. The movie will showcase the life of a young Han Solo and will revolve around his origin. It will showcase his birth, his childhood and early years of life which nobody knew about. It will focus on all the aspects which actually made him the iconic Han Solo. 

The movie is scheduled to go in shooting in January, 2018. However it is said that the new Solo will make an appearance in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”. The storyline of this movie is said to be set between episode III and episode IV.
