Huawei P9 teardown results

iFixit experts are back with their teardown practices and this time it is the Huawei P9 undergoing the repairability scoring experiment. The results are the same as the iPhone 6S i.e. it has also scored 7 out of a possible 10 keeping in mind that Samsung’s S7 series had scored only 3 for the same. It is good news for Huawei P9 which is obviously now proved to be better at repairing than its main Samsung rivals. This was possible by the usage of spring connected modular parts and lesser adhesive through the process of what is called ‘thoughtful cabling’.

The battery is also easily accessible though the gluing method involved for removing it might be a bit knowledge based besides being just fairly tough. Since the display is perfectly fused hence it requires that for its replacement one might need to complete disassemble the phone.

Another problem is also the usage of a special kind of a screwdriver needed to unscrew the pentalobes in the exterior. The reason why Huawei has no bump in its back camera is because the assembly of the dual camera is quite shorter than even the iPhone 6S.
