Leaked images have showed up for Lenovo’s next Moto phones during the past few days while Venture Beat has also hinted at some big reports for the soon to come modular devices. It is being speculated that Lenovo shall be following LG’s footsteps for having add-ons so that these new owners can buy new functions for their smart phones.
While LG G5 has a side ‘friend’ button module, the Moto X shall be having modular backplates due to which the big camera shall be strikingly even better. Each small circle patch at the back has magnetic pins which is obviously the connection between the Moto X and Lenovo’s friends button equivalent, namely ‘Amps’.
According to what Evan Blass’s twitter account leaked, there are six such Amps from stereo options to improved battery pack, great camera grips with flash, pico projectors or even optical zooms, making it much more than what LG just offered.
LG has two add-ons, the hi-fi DAC add-on and the camera grip add-on but only the camera grip is available internationally while the DAC is not available in the US and is also incompatible with the G5’s there. However these Moto devices shall soon be around by their Tech World 2016 event in June.
