He has now taken a different road with the content and turned to a war veteran drama, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk. The movie has been in rumours regarding Lee shooting the action sequences in 120fps to give them a more realistic and immersive feel. The first trailer for the movie has been released by Sony Entertainment for the movie.
We see fireworks over a football stadium and a young soldier Billy Lynn played by newcomer Joel Alwyn standing in front of a crowd, almost expressionless, seeing the crowd and the cheerleaders and the fireworks in front of him.
The screen then cuts to a battle area where Vin Diesel tells them that it is going down. We then see his whole squad on stage before we see them heading out in a fire zone and we can see that the movie has two parts.
One in America where the soldiers have returned and the other in Iraq where they were fighting. We hear Billy Lynn say that it is the worst thing to be honoured for the worst day of your life.
Lynn comes home and he is received by his relieved mother and sister. A soldier flinches at gunfire at an honour burial of a fellow soldier. Lynn’s sister played by Kristen Stewart tells him that it’s good to have him back. Steve Martin’s high ranking character tells Billy that his story no longer belongs to him but it belongs to America.
We then see a montage of scenes from the parade and the battle scenes as Billy experiences them and his eyes lock with a young girl in a crowd which gives him hope of being in love.

Although the music and the sombre tone of the trailer despite a lot of fireworks in the trailer, the movie looks promising especially with the promising special effects that Ang Lee has employed to shoot the movie. The movie is set to release in November.
