Another day and another set of iPhone 7 leaks.

The iPhone 7 is about to go into production. Earlier today we reported that Foxconn has started the hiring process earlier than in past years. Apple also signed with Wistron and Pegatron two additional manufacturers for the iPhone 7 line-up, which is rumored to consist of three models.

Today and Steve Hemmerstoffer released a new 3D animation of CAD data from the iPhone 7 Plus. The schematics show a dual camera cut out and smart connector. The design of the shell also is displayed from the inside. Another detail is the missing headphone jack.

The CAD data is from a March testing unit says @OnLeaks. The trend of modular smartphones is taking off. The LG G5 will be soon joined by the Moto Z and the iPhone 7 will via the smart connector likely have accessories that go beyond keyboards.

Besides the new 3D video of the iPhone 7 Plus, there are new leaked photos of the iPhone 7 courtesy of the Chinese social media. The leaked snaps show a gold colored iPhone 7 with the new antenna lines design. This is the good news. The bad news is that on these photos the camera lens is protruding.

The iPhone 7 is expected to be unveiled in September and to be released in the same month. The leaks so far point towards Apple keeping the iPhone 6S design for the most part. Apple is saving the design upgrade for next year. In 2017 the iPhone celebrates its 10th anniversary. The 10th anniversary iPhone is rumored to adopt OLED and a complete new design using glass on the rear.
